The Parkersburg Art Center is honoring Kreinik with an exciting exhibit of cross stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, quilting, crazy quilting, mixed media, jewelry, fiber art and more. Open to the public Tuesdays through Saturday. For more information visit the Parkersburg Art Center's web site, https://www.parkersburgartcenter.org/
Kreinik has been integral to industries ranging from personal needlework to church vestments, art installations, fashion houses like Kate Spade, and films such as Game of Thrones and Hocus Pocus 2. In addition, Kreinik fibers are used to make fly fishing lures. In April 2024, Doug Kreinik retired from the family business and sold it to Rainbow Gallery, a thread maker in Burbank, California. Rainbow Gallery will carry on the 50+ year tradition of making Kreinik threads for years to come.
