- DMC embroidery floss in colors listed in Color Key
- Kreinik Very Fine (#4) Braid 210 Gold Dust
- Kreinik Tapestry (#12) Braid 210 Gold Dust
- Kreinik Cord 102C Vatican Gold
- Kreinik Fine (#8) Braid 332 Candy Cane
- Kreinik Fine (#8) Braid 1432 Blue Ice
- Kreinik Blending Filament 001 Silver
Instructions:
This design is cross stitched over two threads on 25-ct Lugana fabric using one strand of Braid or two strands of cotton floss according to color key. WhenBlending Filament is used, work with two strands floss plus one strand BlendingFilament in the needle. Follow the chart, color key, and instructions below.
- Backstitching:(one strand of each)
- scarf and headband: DMC 304 Red
- hat, face and buttons: DMC 310 Black
- mittens: DMC 311 Navy
- snowman: DMC 3841 Light Blue
- border: #4 Braid 210
- fringe on scarf: #8 Braid 332
Couching:
—flagpole: Lay Tapestry (#12 Braid) color 210 Gold Dust on the surface of the fabric(plunge the ends to the back, and tack to secure), and couch with Cord 102C Vatican Gold.
Eyelets:
—snowflakes: #8 Braid 1432 in eyelet stitches
FrenchKnots: (symbol •)
—eyes and buttons: 1 strand/2 wraps DMC white
