Enchanted Garden
A Kreinik website design by Julia Lucas

Threads and stitches make a designdimensional, filled with texture, and visually interesting. Here, Julia Lucastransforms a simple white piece of 28-count fabric, using a variety of stitchesto make flowers that look, well, like real flowers. You will love learning thesesimple techniques that can be used in any project you are working on. When youstitch a cross stitched flower, for example, think about adding French Knots tothe center. When you stitch a leaf, think about using long stitches to createthe flat, veined look of a real leaf. This is embroidery at its best—and mostfun.
