A pocket-watch ornament by vicki hastings made with kreinik metallic and silk threads

Materials needed:
  • Kreinik 1/16” Ribbon (002, 003, 061, 071
  • Kreinik Silk Mori (`1119, 3017, 3042, 3044, 3045, 5104, 7124, 8000, 8073
  • two 10” x 10” pieces of 18-count Ivory linen (Wichelt Imports)
Instructions:
  • Work cross stitch with four strands of Silk Mori or one strand of Ribbon over two threads on the 18-ct linen following the color key in the directions.
  • Work Santa’s beard and eyebrows with French Knots of three strands Silk Mori 8000 wrapped three times. French Knot dots in eyes with one strand Mori 8000 (wrap 3 times).
  • Blended color of cheeks is worked with two strands of each color indicated.
  • Lay four strands of Silk Mori 8000 in longstitch (or satin stitch) for the moustache.

AUGUST 2021 NEWS

High demand for product combined with supply, production, and staffing ramifications of the pandemic means that it is taking longer than normal to get your Kreinik orders. IN MOST CASES, IT IS TAKING UP TO 10 WEEKS TO FILL ORDERS We make our threads, and also rely on outside sources for things like packaging and raw materials. Every step of the manufacturing process has been affected by the pandemic, even shipping has seen incredible delays. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience, and are doing everything we can to improve the situation.  

To speed up production of the most in-demand colors, we are only making the top 60 to 80 colors in Kreinik #4, #8, and #12 Braid lines. The colors in production can be found on those individual thread pages on our website. This is a temporary situation; we will go back to producing 200+ colors per Braid size when we are able. 

We cannot do rush orders at this time.

Kreinik does not sell direct to the public, so all orders received on this website will have payment collected and fulfillment by independent retailers. Their stock may vary, so it could be that they need to get product from Kreinik to fulfill your order. We apologize for any inconvenience.
