Beaded Paper Ornament

Materials needed:

Kreinik #12 Braid 009HL Emerald Hi Lustre
Four flat-backed red and green cabochons or sequins
Red and green satin ribbon
3" x 3" picture of a Christmas ornament (like from a catalogue, magazine, etc)
4" x 6" Treasure Tape?
Glue stick
Diamond Beadlets®
4" x 4" pink cardstock
Shallow pan or tray
Scissors
Hole punch

Instructions:

With the glue stick, attach the ornament picture centered onto your pink cardstock.
Cut the Treasure Tape to be 3" x 3". Remove the white backing and lay centered on your ornament image. Remove the red liner to expose the top sticky area.
Lay the green and red cabochons on the ornament.
Lay the Emerald metallic braid on the ornament in curls, swirls, etc. as desired.
Lay the satin ribbon around the edge of the tape area, overlapping, folding and pressing into the tape as you go along.
When thread decorating is complete, lay the design in a shallow pan or tray and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets®
Punch a hole in the top and run an extra piece of thread through as the ornament hanger.

High demand for product combined with supply, production, and staffing ramifications of the pandemic means that it is taking longer than normal to get your Kreinik orders. IN MOST CASES, IT IS TAKING UP TO 10 WEEKS TO FILL ORDERS We make our threads, and also rely on outside sources for things like packaging and raw materials. Every step of the manufacturing process has been affected by the pandemic, even shipping has seen incredible delays. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience, and are doing everything we can to improve the situation.

To speed up production of the most in-demand colors, we are only making the top 60 to 80 colors in Kreinik #4, #8, and #12 Braid lines. The colors in production can be found on those individual thread pages on our website. This is a temporary situation; we will go back to producing 200+ colors per Braid size when we are able.

We cannot do rush orders at this time.
