Instructions:
Tent stitch each design centered on your 14-count mono canvas using three strands of Silk Mori, or Tapestry #12 Braid as it comes (right off the spool), according to the color key. Sew on beads after needlepoint pattern is stitched.
Iron the 1/8" Ribbon around the completed pattern, using a Teflon Press Cloth between your hot iron (high heat) and the metallic thread.
Assembly:
Cut a 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece of green felt. Fold under the excess needlepoint canvas and either pin or tack iin place. Tuck in the loose iron-on ribbon. Attach a 3" piece of looped metallic thread at the top of the ornament for hanging. Sew green felt to the back of the ornament on three sides. Add a small amount of polyester fiberfil and sew remaining side closed.

Stitched by Jeanne Becker for Lee's Needle ArtWe love Lee's Needle Art for their needlepoint painted canvases and the leather goods to finish the projects. No need to send your project out to a finisher, and wait possibly months for the finished project, when you can do the finishing easily and quickly. This needlepoint canvas snowflake fits perfectly into Lee's silver leather ornament frame.
This project features Kreinik's holographic blue metallic thread color and hot-fix crystals as embellishments.
Materials needed:- Lee's Needle Art canvas BJ110
- Kreinik Fine #8 Braid in 033L Royal Blast (3 spools), and 032 Pearl (1 spool)
- Lee's Needle Art ornament BAG28S/Silver for finishing
- 5mm hot-fix crystal embellishments - color "crystal" (if you can't find hot-fix crystals, look for flat-backed crystals or sequins that you can carefully glue onto the design)
- home iron, craft iron or hot-fix crystal applicator
Instructions:
BACKGROUND: Kreinik Fine #8 Braid 033L Royal Blast in basketweave stitch
SNOWFLAKE: Kreinik Fine #8 Braid 032 Pearl in basketweave stitch
Finishing:- Block canvas if needed to restore shape.
- Cut off excess selvage leaving 2 canvas threads.
- Carefully remove the paper from the cutoff portion of the ornament holer, leaving the sticky layer in place.
- Place the stitched needlepoint canvas into the sticky layer.
- Make fine adjustments if necessary and glue down the edges to the opening of the needlepoint edge. A plastic knife or popsicle stick is a handy way to apply the glue. Just don't apply too much glue.
- After applying to the holder, attach the 5mm hot-fix crystals to each edge of the snowflake according to the directions on the applicator.

Materials needed:
- 18-ct mono canvas in white, 5” x 5”
- FOR WHITE VERSION: Kreinik Silk Mori white 8000
- FOR RED/GREEN VERSION: Kreinik Silk Mori in red 1117, green 4036
- Kreinik Japan #5 Gold 002J
- For finishing: use a store-bought round ornament frame in the appropriate size, or ask your local framer to cut you a similar frame out of gold mat board
- Kreinik Treasure Tape™ double-sided tape
Instructions:
- Use 4-ply of Silk Mori, or Japan just as it is (single strand) following the diagrams.
- When stitching is complete, make a “sandwich” by layering the front of the gold ornament frame on top, followed by your stitched piece, and the gold ornament frame backer. Use Treasure Tape™ double-sided tape as the adhesive between layers. Add ribbons etc for ornament hanger as desired.
