Monogrammed Mini Stockings

Make a personalized ornament or table place setting in a jiffy with inexpensive felt stockings and Kreinik iron-on threads. 

Materials needed: 

• Kreinik Iron-on Ribbon in 6354 Green and 6010 Pearl
• Household iron or mini craft iron
• Adhesive press cloth (small piece for a craft iron, large piece for a home iron)
• mini felt stocking from a craft store
• initial from a scrapbooking store or craft store, or iron-on initial from a sewing/craft store
• jingle bell
• sewing thread

Instructions:

1. To make sure your craft iron has a non-stick surface, attach the adhesive press cloth the the plate of the iron. This will keep the adhesive in the thread from sticking to your iron. 

2. Turn on your iron to the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly. 

3. Lay one of the Iron-on Ribbon colors at a starting point (we put it beneath the cuff, on the stitching line in our particular felt ornament) and press with the hot iron. Hold for a few seconds until the thread adheres. Continue working the design this way as desired. We used green around the base of the stocking and pearl around the cuff of the stocking. Feel free to decorate in a free-form pattern, our outline pattern. 

4. Attach the iron-on initial or glue the scrapbooking paper initial in the center of the stocking. 

5. With sewing thread, attach the jingle bell at the toe of the stocking if desired.
