Winter Lights

Sure, anyone can slip mini lights into a glass jar and call it a display, but only you can add the dimensional textile element using your Kreinik thread stash.

Materials needed:

  • Glass Mason Jar, bottle or similar
  • Mini LED snowflake light string (we used Celebrate It™ snowflake lights, ultra slim set from Michael's Arts & Crafts store)
  • Kreinik 1/16" Ribbon in blue and silver colors: 001L, 9732, 033L, 029L

Instructions:

  1. Cut about 10" lengths of Kreinik Ribbon in the various colors. Tie them into bows along the string of lights — halfway between each light. Trim threads to avoid any long ends.
  2. Insert into glass jar or drape on a mantle.

Note: do not leave lights unattended. Follow light manufacturers's directions regarding safety.
