Snow Falling On Scrapbooks
-
Capture the serenity of your winter's snowfall by creating a scrapbook page in shades of blue and white. Take a cue from the weather stations when they give events dramatic names like "STORM OF THE SEASON" or "WINTER FREEZE 03" or call it simply "Magic In The Air" like our scrapbook consultant did in this sample page.

Here, Diane N. of Pennsylvania used Kreinik's Sky Blue Facets to create dimensional snowflake centers. This bead-like yarn is easy to use, and offers a fun texture, yet dramatic dimension, to your page. Diane used it in French knots in the snowflakes and also in place of eyelets around her written description of this serene moment. Kreinik Facets come in a variety of colors and in two sizes: regular and the smaller Petite Facets, so you can choose which best fits your die cuts, stamps or stickers.

Diane created a bottom border using Kreinik 1/8" Ribbon in a pale, storybook shade called Gold Dust (color 210). This ribbon lies flat, can be curled, twisted, roped and styled, to make a clean yet light-catching border.

Like a hint of seasoning, she also used Kreinik Very Fine (#4) Braid in color 014 Sky Blue in the corners of her header. This is a small size metallic braid perfect for subtlety.
