Easy Dimensional Stitches
Designed by Amy Law
Artist Amy Law wanted to capture a favorite memory of her maternal grandparents, to make a scrapbook page as a gift to her mother. Doodling around with Kreinik Iron-on Threads, she made this fun page, full of suggestions and creative ideas to adapt to your own page projects:
Our model uses:
IRON-ON BRAID in COLOR 6010 PEARL. Cut out cloud shapes from white cardstock or heavy paper, and use Kreinik Iron-on Ribbon in 032 Pearl to outline just inside the cloud edges. (Instead of a silver lining in every cloud, it makes a “diamond” lining!)
IRON-ON RIBBON in COLOR 6450 ROYAL BLUE. This bold color makes a great corner enhancement – just place in diagonal lines across each corner of the page. Amy used this color to tie in with the blue scrap paper she used behind the photos.
IRON-ON BRAID in COLOR 6010 PEARL. Repeat the wavy lines from the clouds by ironing a wavy line out of 6010 pearl between the 6450 lines at the page corners. It’s important to repeat the shapes established on the page, and the iron-on thread curves beautifully.
