Frosted Grapes ornament

Like visions of sugar plums, this ornament will dance on your tree, with the metallic threads reflecting in the Christmas lights. Display it with faux fruit ornaments, and you can create a Victorian-style theme. The design features Kreinik Silk Mori for an instant-heirloom quality, and Kreinik?s Gemstone colors of Very Fine (#4) Braid for the frosted look (like beads, without the mess).

Materials needed:

Fabric: 28-ct Lugana in New Khaki color, or your favorite 28-count fabric
Kreinik Very Fine #4 Braid: 3232, 3215, 3223, 3231, 026
Kreinik Silk Mori (2.5m skeins): 4066, 4206, 6127, 6114
#24 Tapestry needle

Instructions:

Cross stitch this design centered on your fabric, over two threads (each square on the chart equals two fabric threads). Use one strand of Kreinik Braid for cross stitches and backstitching according to the color key. Use two strands of Silk Mori for cross stitching, and one strand for backstitching.

High demand for product combined with supply, production, and staffing ramifications of the pandemic means that it is taking longer than normal to get your Kreinik orders. IN MOST CASES, IT IS TAKING UP TO 10 WEEKS TO FILL ORDERS We make our threads, and also rely on outside sources for things like packaging and raw materials. Every step of the manufacturing process has been affected by the pandemic, even shipping has seen incredible delays. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience, and are doing everything we can to improve the situation.

To speed up production of the most in-demand colors, we are only making the top 60 to 80 colors in Kreinik #4, #8, and #12 Braid lines. The colors in production can be found on those individual thread pages on our website. This is a temporary situation; we will go back to producing 200+ colors per Braid size when we are able.

We cannot do rush orders at this time.

Kreinik does not sell direct to the public, so all orders received on this website will have payment collected and fulfillment by independent retailers.
