Embellished Quilt Label

Materials needed:

pre-printed fabric quilt label or your own designed label
Kreinik Iron-on metallic threads: 1/8" Ribbon in your desired colors, and #16 Braid in your desired colors
Kreinik Adhesive Press Cloth
Mini Craft Iron or home iron

Instructions:

The Kreinik Adhesive Press Cloth keeps the adhesive in the thread from making your iron surface sticky. So if your iron isn't already Teflon®-coated, then apply the Adhesive Press Cloth to its surface while it is cool. Kreinik offers these cloths in various sizes to fit popular irons.
Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.
Use the Iron-on threads to decorate your quilt label. In our photograph, we sewed scraps of fabric to the label, and used the threads to decorate the seams, crazy-quilt style. Simply lay the thread at a starting point, cover with your iron, and press for a few seconds until the thread adheres. Continue working your design this way. The thread does not have a right or wrong side, so feel free to fold, curl, shape the thread as desired.

High demand for product combined with supply, production, and staffing ramifications of the pandemic means that it is taking longer than normal to get your Kreinik orders. IN MOST CASES, IT IS TAKING UP TO 10 WEEKS TO FILL ORDERS We make our threads, and also rely on outside sources for things like packaging and raw materials. Every step of the manufacturing process has been affected by the pandemic, even shipping has seen incredible delays. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience, and are doing everything we can to improve the situation.

To speed up production of the most in-demand colors, we are only making the top 60 to 80 colors in Kreinik #4, #8, and #12 Braid lines. The colors in production can be found on those individual thread pages on our website. This is a temporary situation; we will go back to producing 200+ colors per Braid size when we are able.

We cannot do rush orders at this time.

Kreinik does not sell direct to the public, so all orders received on this website will have payment collected and fulfillment by independent retailers. Their stock may vary, so it could be that they need to get product from Kreinik to fulfill your order. We apologize for any inconvenience.
