Embellished Album Cover

Your local discount or dollar store is a great place tofind little inexpensive photo albums. Buy them as party favors, or as a specialgift, then transform these plain books into embellished, beaded treasures.It’s fast and easy with beads, tape and thread. Your album will look likeit was purchased in a boutique!

Materials needed:
• photo album from dollar or discount store
• Diamond Beadlets®
• 1-inch Treasure Tape roll (or use Treasure Tape sheets to fit the sizeof your album)
• shallow pan or tray
• flat-backed cabochons or pearls
• Kreinik Tapestry #12 Braid in 101 Platinum, 015 Chartreuse (or colors tomatch your album)

Instructions:
  1. Lay strips of Treasure Tape on your album cover. Remove red linerto expose sticky area.
  2. Begin embellishing by placing the flat-backed cabochons in desiredplaces.
  3. Then decorate with Kreinik Tapestry Braid. Create your own pattern,or follow the design printed on the album cover, as we’ve done in our model.
  4. When embellishing is complete, lay the album in your shallow panand cover all remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets®.
