Instructions & Stitching Tips
Find the center point of your chart by following the arrows, and begin in the center for the fabric. Each symbol on the graph represents one cross stitch. Work all cross stitches first, using one strand of Kreinik Very Fine #4 Braid or 2 plies of cotton floss, according to the color key. Backstitch using one ply of Black floss.
Threading technique for Braids, Ribbons and other Kreinik metallics:
Cut a small strip of paper and fold in half. Place the fold through the eye of the needle and open the two ends to insert the thread in between. Gently pull the paper through so the thread is brought along.
Use short lengths of thread–no more than 15 or 18 inches–to avoid excessive abrasion when pulling the thread through the fabric and to reduce tangling. Let your needle hang frequently so the thread can untwist.
