 Make this sweet bookmark for your child to give to Grandma as a special gift. She’ll love it!

 MaterialsNeeded:

• Kreinik Iron-on Braid: 6010, 6225

• Kreinik Iron-on Ribbon: 6420, 6120, 6410, 6010, 6020

• Card Stock in a natural color (DMD Industries Inc. Paper Reflections Line; www.dmdind.com)

• Rafia (Berwick Industries™ Wraphia™, www.berwick.com)

• Fiskars Brand 1/8” Circle hand punch #2351.7097

• Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth

• Iron

Instructions:

• Download the template of this project by clicking on the PDF, and use it as a guide for placement of the threads.

• Turn iron to high setting and allow to heat thoroughly. You must use high heat, or the linen/cotton setting on your iron

• Cut 8 1/2 x 11-inch card stock to 8 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch strips.

• Following pattern and using Teflon sheet and iron, press ribbon and braid onto card stock as shown in template. Work one section of thread at a time so you can easily control the placement. Work the lettering using Kreinik Iron-on Braid in 6010 Pearl. Make the books by ironing strips  of Iron-on Ribbon side by side, 3 strips of each color to make a book. Alternate lengths so that the books appear to be different sizes. Use gold and silver Iron-on Braid as horizontal spine decoration (refer to the photo).

• Punch hole at the top of the bookmark, pound in eyelets and thread Wraphia through the eyelet as a tassel.
