Arlana came up with this cute design while demonstrating beading techniques for us at Quilt Market. It's an easy way to create a bookmark design to sell as a fundraiser or give as gifts.

Materials needed:

• jumbo paper clip
• heart shape Treasure Tape sheets
• cardboard cut into 2 heart shapes (sizes of hearts on the Treasure Tape sheet)
• Kreinik Braid such as #12 Braid 012 Purple
• flat-backed Vintage Finds and cabochons
• Diamond beadlets
• shallow pan or tray

Instructions:

1. Lay a Treasure Tape heart shape on each of your two cardboard hearts. (You can also use heavy-duty cardstock in a printed pattern instead of cardboard.) Remove the red liner to expose the sticky part, and decorate the heart with your vintage finds and Kreinik Braid.

2. Lay the embellished hearts in your tray and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets.

3. Using another one or two Treasure Tape heart shapes, attach them to the back of your decorated hearts, put the end of the paper clip in between, and join the hearts, pressing to secure.
