Writing with Thread

How to write with thread

There's a unique tool that's designed to help you write with thread, just like using a pen to write with ink. It's called the Threadster™, and you can use it with all threads & fibers to embellish your double-sided tape projects. "Write" on the tape and create detailed designs, with greater control and no sticking fingers.

Here's how to use it:

1. Insert the end of your thread through the top of the tool's clip.

2. Place the thread between the tabs at the bottom of the clip.

3. Insert the threader's loop end into the Threadster's tip and up through the barrel hole. Put thread through the wire loop and pull the threader out, drawing the thread with it.

4. Position the end of your thread on your tape.

5. Start writing: follow an existing design (try a rubber stamp or die cut) or draw one of your own.

Who can use it:

All ages and skill levels

Where can you "write" with thread on double-sided tape - on fabric (the tape is washable when heat-set) - on wood - on paper like scrapbooks, cards, altered art - on glass - on plastic

The Threadster™ plus red liner, double-sided tape and metallic thread are available from Kreinik. Visit the Treasure Tape section on www.kreinik.com for more info.
