Star Sisters Card

Materials needed:

• Strathmore Creative Cards blank card & envelope
• Decorative Fabric with pink stars
• coordinating textured pink cardstock (Bazill Basics)
• Mrs. K's Iron-On 1/8" Ribbon: 6010, 6100
• Mrs. K's Iron-On Medium Braid: 6010, 6120
• Punch:1 9/16” stamp shape (McGill Craftivity)
• Iron  or Clover Mini Iron
• Kreinik  Teflon press cloth

Instructions:

1. Turn  your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly. First, cut out the pieces you will need to make this card.  Cut one piece of textured cardstock that is 2.5 x 4".  With your punch, make two stamp shapes from the second color of cardstock.  Cut out the star shapes from your fabric.
2. Adhere your cardstock rectangle to your card, so that it is centered at the top of the card. Use your pink iron-on ribbon to create a border around the outside of the cardstock, so that it overlaps the edge. (TIP: Start in the center of the bottom side, so that all your corners look the same.) To use iron-on thread: lay the thread at a starting point, cover with the Teflon Press Cloth, and press for  several seconds with your hot iron. Continue this way, working your design in  sections. (The Teflon keeps the adhesive in the thread from sticking to your iron.)After you finish the border, create a design in the corners of the
   cardstock. (refer to the photo)
3. Adhere your two stamp shapes diagonally on the card, using the photo for reference.
4. Outline your stars with the 6010 Ribbon.  Adhere the stars in the center of your cardstock design.
5. Using a pencil, lightly write the word Sisters across the bottom of your card.  Write the word again with your 6120 Braid, using the pencil as a guide.
