Instructions: This card may be created as a top or side fold. Refer to the photograph as a guide. 1.) Cut papers to size listed under Materials. 2.) Score and fold 5 1/2” x 11” card base in half to 5 1/2” square. Set aside. 3.) Ink “Happy Birthday” stamp with pigment ink, stamp onto 4” blue card stock. Apply white embossing powder, tap off excess and return to container. Heat with an embossing heat tool. 4.) Adhere the embossed blue square to the center of the pearl text square then onto center front of folded card. 5.) Open folded card so that you are working on only one panel. Use a scrap of cardboard underneath your piece on your ironing surface. Begin with Kreinik Iron-on Braid in one corner of the card front; create a small loop. Place Teflon press cloth over braid; iron on high setting for 15-30 seconds. Continue working around the perimeter of the card creating loops and curls. Working from the spool with approximately 1 1/2” to 2” of braid at a time until the border is complete. Finish the end by creating a loop as you begin. |
