Beaded Soap Dispenser

This time of year I love perusing a dollar store for inexpensive touchesof spring I can bring into my home. Walk the aisles and think of the itemsin terms of what can be transformed by your beads, tape, and thread embellishmenttools. Recently I found a blue and yellow soap or lotion dispenser in thehousewares section. A few minutes with Kreinik blue and yellow threads, andvoila! A French Country accent to use as a gift or keep for my bathroom.

Tips:
• Look for objects with designs that can easily be traced with thread, andones that have lots of color to show through the clear beadlets
• Flat surfaces are easier to decorate than curved surfaces.

Materials needed:
• Soap dispenser from the Dollar Store
• Kreinik Facets in Sapphire Blue and Light Blue
• Kreinik Fine (#8) Braid in 033 Sapphire, 3214 Blue Zircon, 091 Star Yellow
• Kreinik Tapestry (#12) Braid in 100 White
• 4” x 6” piece of Treasure Tape™
• Diamond Beadlets®
