The Stitching Post is a one-stop needlework shop that has been specializing in counted cross stitch supplies since 1981. They have one of the largest selections of books, fabrics, threads and accessories in the Mid-Atlantic region. Owner, Melinda Zachary, has loved needlework all of her life and enjoys sharing this love with her staff and customers.
The staff is made up of true needlework enthusiasts who are friendly and knowledgeable and always ready and willing to offer advice, help or suggestions for any needlework needs or challenges.
The Stitching Post is located just 5 minutes from the Baltimore Beltway and 10-15 minutes from both BWI airport and Baltimore’s world famous Inner Harbor. They love when visitors stop by and shop in what they like to think of as their 3400 square foot “stitcher’s paradise”!
With an extensive collection of top designer books, fabrics, and threads, and a huge selection of buttons, beads and charms, stitchers of all levels can find what they are looking for. They carry a variety of projects to inspire beginner to advanced stitchers.
And to finish those beautiful projects off, they have a large custom framing department that offers finishing services.
Always operating with the goal to inspire and educate, they help their customers take their projects to the next level by offering classes on just about anything and everything for all levels of stitchers. IN fact, whenever the staff attends a tradeshow, they take back new techniques and share them with customers.
