Spotlight on Stitching

Pat Winter is a crazy-quilter and Nanny to two children in Indiana and a stitcher who has always shared her love of fabrics and threads with children. Recently Dena Lenham, Kreinik's Creative Director, introduced her to the iron on threads and she immediately thought of greeting cards and children. So, she gathered her rubber stamps, mini iron, teflon sheet, and iron on threads and had a delightful afternoon helping the kids with their greeting cards. She took a few pictures to capture the moments of joy on the children's faces as they discovered the magical quality of iron on threads! "The children were amazed with the iron on threads, and how easy they were to use," she said. And she added, "I made a few items for Kreinik on fabric and just love them myself."

She wrote an article for this last issue of cqmagonline, and wrote a bit about it in her blog. Both links can be found here:

Soon she will be helping the children assemble fabric door pockets and they will be using the iron on threads and beads to decorate them. She wishes she had been introduced to stitching and fabrics at a younger age. She says, "I guess I am making up for it now, and having just as much if not more fun."
