    Simply irresistible recipes


 

    Ham & Bean Pasta Soup
     
    Fill your home with the delicious aroma of this dish!
Ingredients:
  •  
    • 2 tbsp. olive oil
    • 1 cup tomato sauce
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 cups diced cooked ham
    • 4 cups chicken broth
    • 1 can Garbanzo beans, drained
    • 1 tsp. dried basil
    • 2 tsp. dried parsley
    • 8 oz. egg noodles
    • Parmesan cheese
       
  • Method:
     
    1. In heavy saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
    2. Saute garlic for 1 minute.
    3. Add tomato sauce, ham and slowly add 3 cups broth, stirring to blend. Puree remaining broth with 1 cup Garbanzo beans in a food processor.
    4. Pour into saucepan and add remaining whole Garbanzo beans, basil, and parsley.
    5. Bring to a boil and add noodles.
    6. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
    7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
