Love Token
| Treat someone special to this precious Valentine's token. This charming project is easy to create and will make a perfect place to put lots of sweet candy. |
Skill Level: Beginner
Design size: Finishes at about 3 1/4” x 3 1/4”
Materials needed:
- Tokens & Trifles™ white eyelet heart sewing card (20-count perforated paper)
- Kreinik Very Fine #4 Braid color 421 Azalea and 713 Pink Mauve
- Small heart shaped rubber stamp
- Stamp pad with pink ink
Instructions:
- Rubber stamp the heart image with the pink ink in the center of the heart-shaped token.
- Allow it to dry completely.
- Cross stitch on the perforated paper heart using one strand of Braid following the color key and chart.
- When stitching is complete, sew the backer card to the back of your stitched heart by back-stitching in the decorative border area using the red or pink Braid.
Finishing:
Use glue or double-sided tape to attach to a greeting card—or attach on a painted paper-
mache box for a valentine candy dish.
