Love Token

Treat someone special to this precious Valentine's token. This charming project is easy to create and will make a perfect place to put lots of sweet candy.

Skill Level: Beginner
Design size: Finishes at about 3 1/4” x 3 1/4”

Materials needed:

  • Tokens & Trifles™ white eyelet heart sewing card (20-count perforated paper)
  • Kreinik Very Fine #4 Braid color 421 Azalea and 713 Pink Mauve
  • Small heart shaped rubber stamp
  • Stamp pad with pink ink

Instructions:

  1. Rubber stamp the heart image with the pink ink in the center of the heart-shaped token.
  2. Allow it to dry completely.
  3. Cross stitch on the perforated paper heart using one strand of Braid following the color key and chart.
  4. When stitching is complete, sew the backer card to the back of your stitched heart by back-stitching in the decorative border area using the red or pink Braid.

Finishing:
Use glue or double-sided tape to attach to a greeting card—or attach on a painted paper- mache box for a valentine candy dish.
