Materials
- Moon shaped wood cutout, Michaels
- Yellow and White acrylic craft paint (any brand)
- Kreinik Iron-On #16 Braid in 6710 Coconut
- Kreinik Iron-On 1/8" Ribbon in 6710 Coconut
- Household iron or mini iron
- Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth
- Paintbrush, pencil, scissors
Instructions:
- Paint your moon shape with the acrylic paint. Blend the yellow and white together to create a varied look. Allow to dry completely.
- Trace your "crater" circles onto your moon lightly. Using your Coconut braid, outline each circle. (Here's how to use iron-on thread: Turn your iron on to the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly. Lay your thread at a starting point, cover with a Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres.)
- Outline your moon with the Coconut Ribbon.
Tip: "Charge" the fluorescent thread by setting your design in the sun for a few hours. The moon will glow in the dark!
