Instructions:
- First turn your iron on to its highest setting and allow it to heat thoroughly. Then cut out your pieces. Cut a piece of Mandarin Orange Quills paper to the size of your checkbook cover, as your background. Round the corners with your scissors. Then cut your scrap papers into short strips. Use your paper edgers to cut one long scalloped strip of black paper the same width as your cover.
- Arrange your strips so that they cover the edge of your background paper, with the scalloped strip over them. Begin gluing all the pieces down.
- When finished gluing, use your iron to outline the scallops and bottom edge of your scalloped strip with Harvest ribbon. (Lay the thread at a starting point, cover with the Teflon Press cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres.) Outline the edges between your bottom strips as well. Make a zig-zag design with your coconut braid across the scalloped strip and on some of your bottom strips.
- Trim any ends or edges if necessary and insert your design into the checkbook cover.
