A Very Happy Birthday Card

- Materials needed:
- • Blank blue greeting card with envelope
- • Papers: two 2 1/2” x 1 1/2” white
cardstock, 3 1/2” x 2 1/2” red cardstock, 4 1/2” x 3 1/2”
multicolor heart print paper
- • Mrs. K’s Iron-on Braid: 6130 Red
- • Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth
- • “A Very Happy Birthday” stamp from Plaid®
All Night Media® Anna Griffin™ Salutations Stamp Set 2483R
- • Memories™ black ink pad
- • Fiskars® Scallop Paper Edgers
- •
Double-sided Treasure Tape 4" x 6" sheet

- Supplies:
- Tracing paper, transfer paper, pencil,
scissors, ruler, baking parchment paper, iron, and eraser.

- Instructions:

1. Trace heart onto tracing paper and cut out. Draw around
heart on red cardstock and cut out.

2. Turn
the iron on to high setting (the cotton or linen setting) and
allow it to heat thoroughly. Place parchment paper on ironing
surface. Place Teflon cloth over thread before ironing. Press
with the iron for about 30 seconds. Wrap thread diagonally
around heart, ironing after each wrap. Cut small pieces of
thread and iron randomly on heart print paper.

3. Stamp birthday message on each white cardstock piece. Let
ink dry.

4. Following package directions, apply double-sided adhesive
to backs of heart, stamped cardstock and heart print paper. Cut
around birthday messages and cut heart print paper to 4” x 3”
using scallop edgers.

5. Adhere heart print paper to card front. Adhere heart to
heart print paper. Adhere birthday messages to cardstock, above
and below heart print paper. Erase any transfer lines.
