Beaded Birthday Card

Whether it's a friend's or family member's or an acquaintance's birthday, this beautiful card will make someone feel special. It's fast, easy, and simply beautiful.

Materials needed:

  • 4.25 x 5.5 plain card (Joanns Essentials)
  • Silver prints (Die Cuts with a View)
  • Rub-on letters (any brand)
  • Rubber Stamp: Flower Triplet (Kolette Hall)
  • Stamp Pad (VersaMagic Pigment Ink Pad)
  • Kreinik #4 Braid 001 Silver
  • Kreinik #12 Braid 014 Sky Blue
  • 1" Treasure Tape
  • Diamond Beadlets
  • shallow pan or tray

    Instructions:

    1. Cut strips of your silver print papers. Arrange them on your card, with a 1" space between them for your tape. Glue or tape in place.
    2. Stamp flowers on your card in the space between the silver paper strips. Cover with your Treasure Tape and smooth out any air bubbles with your fingers.
    3. Peel back the red liner on your tape and begin embellishing. Follow the stamped outlines with your Silver Braid. Add two stripes of Sky Blue Braid along the top and bottom of the tape strip.  Use your liner to press all threads firmly into the tape.
    4. Place your card into a shallow tray and pour Diamond Beadlets over your tape.  Swirl with fingers to cover fully and tap to remove excess beadlets.
    5. Add your message at the top of the card with your rub-on lettering.
