Materials needed:
- Kreinik Iron-on #16 Braid and Iron-on #8 Braid in desired colors
- Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth
- Household iron or mini iron and ironing surface
- Letter-writing paper
- Computer with decorative fonts (optional)
Instructions:
To make our monograms, we found some decorative script fonts on our computer, and printed them ever-so-lightly on our paper (at a shade level of 10%). This gave us a design line to follow with our thread. Alternatively, you can lightly sketch your design, or do it free-form.
Begin thread decorating: lay your iron-on thread at a starting point, cover with a teflon press cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres. Continue this way until your design is completed.
You can find many decorative envelopes and papers at office supply stores, papercraft stores, and similar locations. Have fun!
