Make a couture-style writing pen in minutes with this easy technique. It's a great gift idea for coworkers, teachers, church secretaries, holiday parties, and hostess gifts.

Materials needed:

• pen
• 3/4" Treasure Tape for a standard sized pen, or 1" Treasure Tape for a thicker pen
• Kreinik 1/8" Ribbon in 100 White and 003 Red

Instructions:

1. Wrap a pen with the double-sided Treasure Tape. Peel off the red liner to expose the top sticky area.
2. Begin decorating with red and white stripes of 1/8" Ribbon. Lay the thread at a starting point, and press into the tape as you go in around the pen, recreating the look of a candy cane.
