Basic Iron-on
Thread instructions:
Lay the iron-on
thread at a starting point, cover with a Teflon press cloth, and
press with a hot iron for several seconds until the thread adheres.
Continue working your designs this way, in sections. If you have a
mini iron (such as the one by Clover), wrap a 3” x 4” Teflon press
cloth around the foot and secure it with a strong string. This way
you won’t have to move the Teflon around as you’re ironing.

Instructions:
-
Turn your iron
onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.
-
Cut several
small (1 to 2 inch) squares from your papers. Starting in the
middle of your tag, glue down one square
-
With an iron-on
thread in a complementary color, iron a “ribbon” across your
square, towards the top. Iron another “ribbon” from the bottom to
the top of the square. At the top of the square make a loop and
iron down just the end. Make a second loop and iron the end down.
Trim your thread. This is your first present.
-
Add remaining
“gifts” one at a time by gluing down each square and then
embellishing as above with the iron-on braid, making bows in
various colors.
-
When decorating
is complete, punch a hole in the top and run an extra piece of
thread through for the hanger.
