Materials needed:

  • Mini tote canvas bag (from craft store)
  • Mini iron or household iron
  • Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth

For yellow bag, you will also need:

  • Four buttons
  • Four flour sequins
  • Pieces of white rick-rack
  • Treasure Tape 1/4" roll
  • Treasure Tape 4" x 6" sheet
  • Treasure Tape dots
  • "Food" fabric scrap (ours features bacon and eggs)
  • Kreinik Iron-on #16 Braid in 6450 Royal Blue and 6710 Coconut (or colors to coordinate with your fabric)
  • Diamond Beadlets

Yellow bag instructions:

  1. Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.

  2. Using the Iron-on Braid, "write" the word "Snack" onto the right side of your fabric piece. Lay the thread at a starting point, cover with the Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres. Continue this way working each letter as desired.

  3. Remove the red liner from your 4" x 6" piece of Treasure Tape and lay your fabric centered onto your piece. Trim to desired size to fit onto your bag. Remove the white backer and lay the fabric centered onto your canvas bag.

  4. Lay a strip of 1/4" Treasure Tape along the top and bottom of the fabric. Remove the red liner to expose the top sticky area, and lay pieces of rick-rack across the tape.

  5. Using the Treasure Tape dots, attach the sequins and buttons in each corner.

  6. Cover all remaining sticky areas that may be showing with the Diamond Beadlets.

For white bag, you will also need:

  • Kreinik Iron-on 1/8" Ribbon in 6010 Pearl

  • Treasure Tape shapes: circles

  • Lace scraps, cut into the shapes of petals round scrap of fabric for flower center, cut to the same size as a large circle from your Treasure Tape shape sheet

White bag instructions:

Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.

  1. Decorate the edges of your lace petal shapes with the Iron-on Ribbon: lay the ribbon at a starting point, cover with the Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres.

  2. Decorate the circular flower center fabric piece by putting iron-on ribbon around the edge, or decorate as desired with the iron-on ribbon.

  3. Put one large circle shape in the center of your canvas bag. Remove the red liner to expose the top sticky area. Lay the petals onto your canvas bag, overlapping the sticky circle so that the lace adheres.

  4. Lay another large circle right on top of the previous circle, remove the red liner, and then lay your decorated flower center fabric piece right on top.
