Designed by: Amy Law

The children in your life are going to love this project, and they are going to especially love wearing it, too! Adding a spark of personal flair to their style, this project will elicit lots of fun and excitement!

Materials needed:

  • Jeans (or other clothing)
  • 2" square of peach fabric (we used peach corduroy)
  • Daisy stamp (we used Anita's by Sugarloaf Inc.)
  • Stamp Pad (any color)
  • 4 Kandi Crystals in size 5mm and color Hyacinth
  • Kreinik Iron-On Thread: 6010 Pearl #16 Braid, 6700 Cantaloupe 1/8" Ribbon
  • Fusible webbing or Treasure Tape

Tools: Iron, teflon presscloth, scissors

Instructions:

  1. Turn on your iron to its highest setting and allow it to heat up. Ink your stamp lightly and stamp your daisy image in the center of your fabric square.
  2. Cut your fusible webbing or Treasure tape to the size of your fabric square.  Apply to the back of your fabric and iron your fabric square onto your clothing.
  3. Once your square is in place, begin embellishing.  Use your Pearl braid to outline your stamped design: lay the thread at a starting place, cover with the Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds with your hot iron until the thread adheres. Next create a loop design around the outside of your square.  Finish by using your Cantaloupe ribbon to outline the edge of your fabric.
  4. Add sparkle to your design by attaching the Hyacinth crystals to the center of your flower.  Place the crystals on your design and cover with your presscloth.  Press with the iron to heat the crystals until they fuse with your fabric.
