| If you know someone who is as cute as a bug, show off her photo in style! Adorable, cheerful and fun, this photo frame will bring a smile to everyone's heart. |
Materials needed:
- Plain mat with backer
- Red & Green print papers (we used Sizzix Little Sizzles Classics Paper- Quills series, Passion Red, Seredipity series, Green Lemonade, by Fibermark)
- Cardstock: Red, Green, & Black
- Font (we used Girls Are Weird)
- Jewelry Wire
- Hole punch
- 1/4" Treasure Trim tape
- Kreinik Iron-On #16 Braid: 6350 Green, 6130 Red
- Kreinik Iron-On 1/8" Ribbon: 6090 Black
Instructions:
- Cut your red and green paper into strips. Vary the widths of the strips. Attach the strips edge to edge on your mat, with the reds at the top and the green at the bottom. When all of the strips are attached, trim around the edges of the mat.
- Embellish your mat with Iron-On Braid, red along the red stripes and green along the green stripes. Use the black ribbon to outline the inside and outside edges, and along the border between green and red.
- Use your hole punch to make Ladybug spots. Arrange the spots on the red part of your mat and attach them. Print and cut out your phrase and attach it to the top of the frame.
- Using an 8" length of jewelry wire, make a loop in the center. Twist the ends until you have a 1" long twisted length below the loop. Using plyers, curl the ends up into "antennae".
- Position and attach your photo. Cut two 4" lengths of Treasure Trim tape. Wrap the middle of each piece around the base of each "antenna" and press the two ends together. Peel back the liner from one side of each piece of tape and attach the wire to the back of your mat so that the tape does not show over the top of the mat. Attach your backer to the mat securely.
