Materials needed:
- 3” x 5” white index card or white cardstock
- Small pieces of light yellow, light blue cardstock
- Iron-on #16 Braid 6250 Orange
- Iron-on 1/8" Ribbon 6400 Blue Bell, 6100 Carnation, 6200 Daffodil, 6500 Hydrangea, 6300 Meadow
- Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth
- Other supplies: pencil, tracing paper, baking parchment paper, scissors, iron or mini iron, ironing surface, paper adhesive
Instructions:
Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.
- Trace flame and candle patterns onto tracing paper and cut out. Place patterns on cardstocks as indicated. Draw around patterns with a pencil. Cut out flame and candle.
- Place parchment paper on ironing surface with flame and candle on top. With press cloth over threads, iron light blue ribbon stripes on candle, orange braid outline on flame. Set flame and candle aside.
- Fold 3” x 5” card in half to make a gift card. Cut “confetti” pieces from pastel ribbons. (Tip: to make sharper edges on confetti, place ribbons on parchment under press cloth and iron for 3 seconds before cutting.) Iron confetti pieces onto card front. Adhere candle and flame to card front.
