  • Kreinik Iron-on #16 Braid 6020 Silver
  • Kreinik Teflon Press Cloth
  • Mini iron or household iron

  • White marbled paper- one piece cut to be 3" x 1 1/4" and one piece cut to be 2" x 1"
  • Glue stick

Instructions:

    1. Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.
    2. In silver ink, write the words "Happy Birthday" across the top (you can also use a rubber stamp to make this).
    3. Using the glue stick, attach the white pieces to your cardstock below the words "Happy Birthday." Leave the bottom of the larger piece unglued, as you will need to tuck thread ends under it.
    4. With the pink iron-on ribbon, iron bows and curves at the bottom of the large piece of white paper, tucking the ends under the paper. Lay the thread at a starting point, cover with the Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres. Continue working your design in sections in this manner.
    5. Continue embellishing the white paper areas with pink ribbon, making curls or wavy lines as desired.
    6. Lay three straight lines of pink ribbon for candles. With silver pen, draw flames on each candle.
    7. Outline the white papers with the silver #16 Iron-on Braid (lay the thread at a starting point, cover with the Teflon press cloth, and press to adhere).
