an ornament contest!
Let
there be Kreinik thread! Trinkets™! and creative ideas!
Kreinik and Redefined
Inc, makers of Tokens & Trifles™ and Trinkets™ brand
perforated paper sewing cards, have joined with Just
Cross Stitch magazine for a 2007 holiday ornament
contest.
CONTEST RULES
1. Create and stitch an
original ornament design, using a stocking-shaped
perforated-paper Trinkets™ sewing card and Kreinik
threads in one of two categories:
CATEGORY 1—Design must use only Kreinik threads, exclusive or
ornament hanger.
CATEGORY 2—Design must use at least one Kreinik thread,
exclusive of ornament hanger.
2. Submission must be original and never-before
published. No part of the design may have appeared in
print previously.
3. Each participant may enter an unlimited number of
designs.
4. All entries must be postmarked by August 1, 2007.
Winners will be notified by August 30, 2007.
5. Judging will be based on originality, quality of
design, appeal, and workmanship. The decision of the
judges will be final.
6. Each winner will be required to sign an agreement
certifying that the design is his/her original creation
and that the sponsors may use it at any time and in any
form without further consent or payment.
7. The sponsors are not responsible for entries that are
lost, stolen, or damaged in mailing or shipping.
8. Prizes will be awarded as follows:
CATEGORY 1:
Kreinik Grand Prize
($500 retail value)—Prize assortment of Kreinik Very
Fine #4 Braid (125 colors); a full compliment of Tokens
& Trifles sewing cards; a one-year subscription to Just
Cross Stitch magazine; a copy of the Proper Stitch: A
Guide for Counted Thread. Design will be published in
the December 2007 issue of Just Cross Stitch magazine.
Second Place ($150
value)—Deluxe assortment of Kreinik Silk Bella (one
of each color); a one-year subscription to Just Cross
Stitch magazine. Design will be published on the Kreinik
Web Site.
third Place ($50
value)—Deluxe assortment of Kreinik Metallic Cord
(one of each color); a Kreinik Metallic Thread Color
Card. Design will be published on the Kreinik Web Site.
CATEGORY 2:
Grand Prize ($500
retail value)—Deluxe Milkpaint Assortment of Kreinik
Silk Mori (one of each Milkpaint color in 2.5m skeins);
a full compliment of Tokens & Trifles sewing cards; a
one-year subscription to Just Cross Stitch magazine; a
copy of The Proper Stitch. Design will be published in
the December 2007 issue of Just Cross Stitch magazine.
Second place ($150
value)—Deluxe assortment of Tokens & Trifles sewing
cards; a one-year subscription to Just Cross Stitch
magazine. Design will be published on the Tokens &
Trifles web site.
Third Place ($50
value)—Deluxe assortment of Tokens & Trifles sewing
cards. Design will be published on the Tokens & Trifles
web site.
9. Professional
designers, employees of sponsoring companies and any of
their subsidiaries or advertising agencies, contest
judges and their immediate families are not eligible to
enter.
10. This contest is
void where prohibited by law.
