Stitching Instructions:

For tips on stitching with Silk Mori, Silk Serica, and Tapestry Braid, visit the threads pages on www.kreinik.com. Silk Serica is used straight off the reel, as a 3-ply twisted filament silk. Use three strands of Silk Mori. To open a skein of Silk Mori, remove the paper wrapping and loosen the slip knot holding the thread ends together.

1. Stitch background using Tapestry (#12) Braid 3214 using this variation of the Byzantine Stitch.

2. The brim of the hat is padded. Using Serica 8050, stitch one long horizontal stitch. Then stitch over the horizontal stitch with a long stitch.

3.Stitch the snowflakes in Tapestry (#12) Braid in 032. Stitch the individual snowflakes using French Knots. Stitch the centers of the snowflakes using Scotch Stitch. The eyes of the snowman are also stitched in French Knots.

4. The tree is stitched using Silk Mori 0413 and Silk Serica 4167. The tree is stitched using a Reversing Continental.

The remaining parts of the canvas are stitched with the appropriate colors using Tent Stitch.
