Summer Silk Sampler
Designed by: Judy Lalanne
Skill Level: Intermediate
Your mother will love this sweet reminder of the home she made for her
family. It stitches up quickly and can be framed and set on an easel in
a foyer.
This is considered an intermediate design because it is stitched on a
fine count of linen. You may also stitch the project on your favorite
fabric. The stitches are simple and the silk thread can be used by
beginners or advanced stitchers.
Materials needed:
- 7" x 8" piece of 35-count white linen, or your favorite fabric
- #28 Tapestry needle
- Kreinik Silk Mori in colors: 5097, 5055, 7014, 4166, 6106, 7012, 3013
Instructions:
If stitching on linen, each square on the chart equals two fabric
threads. Stitch over two threads centered on your linen using one
strand of Silk Mori for all cross stitches following color key. Use
one strand of Silk Mori 6106 to backstitch the word "Summer" and one
strand of Silk Mori 5097 to backstitch the windows.
